| About Houston Can Academies |
Houston Can Academies are Non- Profit, Charter High Schools serving students who could be substantially behind their peers in measurable skills or simply needing a non-traditional environment for earning their high school diplomas.
To enroll, students must have successfully completed the eighth grade and not be over the age of 20 when they enter grade 12. No examinations are required for acceptance. The curriculum includes all courses needed for earning a Texas High School Diploma.
The core subjects include English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Economics, Physical Education, Health, Fine Arts, Technology, and Speech. Providing open enrollment ensures students the ability to enroll at any time, not just at the beginning of a semester. The student/teacher ratio is 15 to one. The student/student advisor ratio is 45 to one.
